Self-Validator Tablet
The Self-Validator module enables users to independently apply discounted parking validation, requiring minimal or no support from parking staff or building management. Self-Validators are ideal for sites with a large number of validated guests moving through lobbies or reception areas.
1. Parkers walk to a Self-Validation station and scan or enter their ticket information.
2. The system will automatically change the ticket price to the validated price.
3. At the exit, the parker scans their validated ticket or enters their phone number, depending on the information provided upon entering, and the gate will vend if the ticket has been fully validated.
If the ticket has been fully validated and the location is using LPR, the gate will automatically vend and won't require the parker to scan their ticket.Components for the Self-Validator tablet setup include Ethernet Cable, Barcode Scanner, and a Tablet Stand and Enclosure.
Pay On Foot (POF) Self-Validation
The self-validation module for PARCS kiosk is recommended for use in retail environments and office settings to allow visitors to validate their parking tickets independently, with minimal or no staff assistance. This solution works with Flash PARCS and Flash Valet.
This module can be installed using either a self-service kiosk or a Windows tablet.. Validation pricing can be configured in two ways:
- Standard Mode: A fixed validation price is assigned to the kiosk or tablet.
- Advanced Mode: Enables scheduling of multiple validation prices based on time, day, or other criteria.
Validation Scheduler and Multiple Validations
This feature allows for the scheduling of specific validations during the selected timeframe. Using the multiple validations, the user can select validation prices to be configured individually for each Ticket Type.
Validator scheduling and Multiple Validations can be created via the validation kiosk page or the Kiosk Self-Validator tab. When configuring Scheduled or Multiple Validations in the relevant tab, the same validator that is assigned to the kiosk must be selected. This ensures the validations are linked with the associated Validation Kiosk.
- Non-Recurring: events in this category are placed as a one-time event, with a start and end date, after which the conditions set will not be repeated.
- Recurring: This category places a recurring time frame by day(s) that repeats itself during the established hours.
Additionally, a kiosk-level flag can be enabled to automatically trigger a vehicle request when a valet ticket is scanned at a self-validation kiosk.
