ENHANCEMENTS
Valet Tips with Digital Checkout announcements
- Added tips to Valet checkout pages (iOS and Android apps)
Drivers can now add a tip at valet checkout with one-tap buttons. Depending on how the location is set up, the buttons show fixed dollar amounts (e.g., $2 / $3 / $5) or percentages of the parking fee (e.g., 10% / 15% / 20%). A "Custom" option lets drivers enter their own amount up to $99.99. The tip shows as its own line in the Payment Summary and on the confirmation page, and drivers can remove it before paying.
- Tip line item has been added to receipts and booking confirmation screen
Tips now appear as their own line on the booking confirmation screen in the ParkWhiz apps (iOS and Android) and the driver's emailed receipt.Drivers get clearer records for expense reports. Bookings without a tip show no tip line.
- Dynamic Total Recalculation, Payment Summary Itemization, & Purchase Flow
A selected ‘tip now’ option appears as its own line in the Payment Summary in the ParkWhiz apps (iOS and Android), and the total updates right away. Drivers can tap "Remove" to take the tip off before they tap Pay & Request Vehicle.
ParkWhiz iOS App updates for the iPhone Duo
- Map controls
On iPhone Duo, the map now uses the standard iOS back button, filters, re-center, and the location card are lined up along the bottom of the screen. System controls no longer overlap them.
- Credit-card scanner
On iPhone Duo, the credit card scanner's guide frame now stays inside the camera view, so cards scan more reliably. The QR and ticket scanner guides also move to stay clear of system controls. Both keep working when the display changes size or rotates.
- App remains portrait-sized
The ParkWhiz app now fills the whole screen on iPhone Duo. It no longer appears as a narrow portrait window with black bars on the sides. On iPad, the app now works in landscape. Standard iPhones stay portrait-only.
Updated legacy web and in-app Sign In / Sign Up buttons to use Universal Auth
Every Sign In and Sign Up button now uses email verification, so users no longer need a password to get into their account. After signing in, users go back to the page they started on. This update makes Web, iOS, and Android to provide an aligned login experience.
Disabled Google Maps pop-ups on the ParkWhiz Widget
Clicking businesses, landmarks and other Google Maps places on the ParkWhiz Widget map no longer opens Google pop-ups. Parking pins, map panning and zoom work the same as before.
Updated Credit Card Expiry Field to YY instead of YYYY (ParkWhiz Android App)
Updated the credit card expiration field to the standard MM/YY format for faster, easier card entry and consistency across web and apps.
FIXES
