Event Packages

Modified on Wed, 7 Aug at 2:24 PM

Follow the steps below to create event packages:

  • Log in to the ParkWhiz Seller Console

  • Identify and click the location in ParkWhiz Seller Console where you want to add event packages.

When creating event packages, you should consider whether you want the event package’s inventory to be taken from your single event pricing listing or not. Select best scenario below for the steps:

Event Package - Inventory available for event packages only

Create the single Event Pricings

  • Go to Pricings

  • Click Reservations

  • Click Event

  • Click + New Event Pricing

  • Choose the Venue

  • Click Find Events

  • Select the events you want to price.
Note: If you want to price for all events, click on the checkbox before name as that will select all events.

  • Scroll down to click on ✔create pricing for selected events

Under Hours & Pricing, input the following:

  • Note: Pricing code is not required.

Quantity
  • This is the inventory or maximum number of spaces that can be sold for the event package.

Price
  • This is a placeholder price ONLY as the package price is based on the event package set up.

  • The price box accepts numeric digits and up to 2 decimal points only.

  • If your location has a separate listing for single events:

    • Set a higher price than your location’s single event pricing as both pricing (single and event package placeholder pricing) will appear as an option when you create your event package.

      • For example:

        • $50 - single event pricing

        • $50.01 - placeholder pricing for event package

Arrival

The maximum number of hours that customers can park BEFORE the event starts.

Only accepts >=1

Departure

The maximum number of hours that customers can park AFTER the event ends.

Only accepts >=1

Amenities

  • Manually set according to known properties of the facility.

  • “Accepts Smartphone Mobile Parking Passes” is identified as a critical setting because this affects availability on ParkWhiz apps

  • Under Sales Options, enable your preferred settings:

This pricing is only for event packages
  • Enable this to ensure that the inventory, arrival time, departure time, and the below Sales Options of your event pricing are available for event packages only.

  • This also disables the event pricing’s availability for single event bookings.

Create the Event Package

  • Go to Pricings

  • Click Reservations

  • Click Event Packages

  • Click new event package

  • Enter the following details:

Title
  • This is the event package’s title or pricing name. Any text is allowed. The most common conventions for the event package title is the season the package is for.

    • For example:

      • 2023 Cubs Full Season Package

      • 2023 Cubs Half Season Package

Price per package
  • This is the event package’s ParkWhiz Seller Console price (aka Base price)

The price box accepts only numeric digits and up to 2 decimal points.

  • Choose the venue of the events for all events to appear.

  • On the event’s drop down option, include the following only:

    • The events/games you intend to be INCLUDED on the package.

    • The pricing you’ve initially created for event packages.

The drop-down option will show ALL available event pricing that is not included on a package yet. It also DOES NOT have an indication whether the pricing is for the single event listing or event package; thus, it is helpful to have a different price than your single events when creating the event pricings for your event packages.

  • Under Sales Options, enable your preferred settings:

This pricing is private and only available to a group of users by their email address
This makes the event package private to the users whose email address are added on this field.

    • Available Spots - The inventory available for the event package

    • Amenities - The amenities set on your event pricing

  • Go to Event pricing list to confirm that the events have been added to your event package.

Not having a ✔ under Pkg Only indicates that your event pricing is available for both single event bookings and event package; thus, any bookings made from this pricing will be deducted from your event package’s inventory as well.

For example: 1 booking made for May 8 game

2023 Cubs Half-Season Package: 10 inventory - 1 booking made for May 8 game = 9 remaining inventory for the package

Updating Event Packages

Event packages are sold as a whole; thus, when a game/event ends/expires, the event package won’t be available for sales anymore. If you need to update the event packages to be available after a game/event  ends/expires, follow these steps:

  • Go to Pricings

  • Click Reservations

  • Click Event Package you want to update.

  • If preferred, edit the Price per package.

  • Under the expired game/event’s drop down option, choose “do not include”

  • Click ✔ Save Changes

The number of events included on your event package will then be updated with the current events and will be available for sales again.
