ParkWhiz: Event Rates Overview
Event Rates are special prices that apply when booking parking for specific concerts, games, shows, or other major events near a venue. These rates ensure you see the right parking options tied directly to your event.
How Event Bookings Work
When you search for parking by event or venue:
- Event Rates only – You’ll see special event pricing instead of standard daily/hourly rates.
- Extra time included – Bookings automatically include a 1-hour buffer before and after the event to give you flexibility.
- Nearby parking – Results show parking options within 0.5 miles of the venue by default.
Which Parking Locations Show Up
A parking location will appear in event search results if:
- It’s within 0.5 miles of the venue, and
- It has space available for the entire event window (event time plus the buffer).
Exceptions
Some parking options outside the 0.5-mile radius may still appear if:
- The location offers a shuttle service mapped to the venue, or
- The location is explicitly priced for that specific event.
Event Pricing Rules
- Lowest rate wins – If multiple event rates are available at one location, the system will automatically display the lower price.
- Overlapping events – If two events happen at the same time, the higher rate applies to prevent underpricing.
- Searching by address – If you search by address instead of the event, and the lot only has event pricing, it will display as a standard booking (not an event booking).
Benefits of Event Rates
- Upfront pricing for your event.
- Easy booking directly tied to the event you’re attending.
- Extra time included before and after the event.
Event Packages
Event Packages let you purchase parking for multiple events at a venue—most commonly for an entire sports season, but also sometimes for concert series.
Key Rules for Event Packages
- All-in-one purchase – Packages cover multiple event dates in a single booking.
- Non-refundable – Packages cannot be refunded once purchased.
- No partial refunds – Individual events within a package cannot be separated, canceled, or refunded on their own.
Note: All events within a package are linked. If inventory for any one event runs out or is paused, the entire package becomes unavailable until inventory is restored for that event.
