FLEX MODE + EXPRESS PAY INTRODUCTION

Introducing Flex Mode with the Parkonect system – a cutting-edge solution designed to provide drivers with a seamless, frictionless parking experience. For owners and operators, it offers flexible control options that deliver peace of mind. Paired with our improved ExpressPay functionality, Flex Mode simplifies payment processing while encouraging repeat visits, ensuring a smoother experience for both drivers and operators alike.

Flex Mode is powered by a dynamic integration of four innovative Flash technologies:

  • PARCS: Parkonect
  • LPR: Vision
  • Digital Payments: ParkWhiz
  • Compliance: Flash Enforcement

These combined technologies create a robust and seamless parking solution for both drivers and operators, enhancing convenience, security, and efficiency.

Operating Modes

The Flex Operating Modes allow operators to control access, leakage, and security with adaptable modes.

  • Operating Modes are set in the Parkonect Admin portal (under Garage Settings) to control the gates' up/down flow for the garage.
  • The operating mode can be set manually or on an automatic schedule.

Full Control Mode

In Full Control mode, the gates remain down, ensuring there is no compromise on security and all revenue is captured with the gates down during both entry and exit.

Hybrid Mode

Hybrid mode offers a seamless gates-up entry which enables rapid driver intake while still ensuring revenue capture with gates down on exit.

Free Flow Mode

The Free Flow mode provides the drive-in-drive-out experience, and Flash Enforcement is there to back up for any non-payments.

Express Pay

Express Pay, powered by ParkWhiz, is our streamlined digital payment platform. Upon entering the parking facility, drivers can easily enroll in Express Pay by scanning a QR code from a posted sign or their PARCS ticket. Once enrolled, the system automatically charges them upon exit, based on Vision’s LPR (License Plate Recognition) technology, which reads the vehicle’s license plate information for a hassle-free, contactless payment experience.

See the Express Pay Enrollment Guide for more details.

1. Scan the QR Code on the sign or PARCS ticket to initiate the enrollment process.

2. The Driver enters the following information:
  • Phone number
  • License plate and State
  • Credit Card information

**If they don’t already have a ParkWhiz account, they’ll be prompted to create one.

3. Once enrolled, a digital ticket is provided with the following details:
  • QR code to use on PARCS peripherals
  • Rate Estimate
  • Option to apply validation

The driver exits the parking facility and the credit card on file will be charged for the parking duration.

Autopay

Autopay is our effortless payment feature designed for ultimate convenience. When drivers enroll into Express Pay they have the option to enable Autopay. With Autopay they no longer need to open an app or website to manage their parking.

Upon entering the facility, a digital ticket is automatically generated, and they receive an SMS notification as their parking session begins. When they’re ready to leave, the system reads their license plate at the exit and automatically charges the card on file. Drivers receive an SMS with the payment details and simple instructions on retrieving their receipt for a completely hands-free, seamless parking experience.

All payments processed through the Express Pay platform are subject to digital payment fees, which are passed on to the driver. This ensures that the payment process remains seamless while covering the costs associated with digital transactions.
