Flash PARCS FS-PMS Integration

Modified on Tue, 11 Feb at 4:17 PM

The Flash PARCS integration with Marriott’s Full-Service Property Management System (FS-PMS) is designed to streamline parking operations for Marriott hotel guests. This integration enables seamless communication between the hotel’s PMS and the Flash system, allowing room key-based access to the Flash PARCS parking facility.

In addition to hotel key card access credentials, the Marriott Bonvoy app can also be used as Digital Key for parking access. Flash PARCS is the only PARCS integration with a fully integrated system that does not require a separate reader for a digital key. The app utilizes a Bluetooth beacon and follows the same passback rules as key card access.

Add Parking Access

The hotel key card or digital key will grant access to the parking facility only if parking is added to the guest’s reservation. This setting determines whether access is allowed but does not manage any parking fees, which are handled separately.

Check-In

  1. To enable parking access in the FS-PMS system, navigate to the reservation screen and enter "P" for parking.

  1. The FS-PMS system will prompt for the guest's current parking status (Y or N) and ask if the guest will be using parking. Select Y for yes.

  1. You may view the Special Request codes screen on the guest reservation to confirm parking was enabled. SP for self-parking should be present.

Check-Out

  1. Once checked out, the guest will have access until midnight on the set checkout date.

  2. After midnight, the Flash Monthly Account status updates to Invalid, the Valid Until date and the RFID value under Contact are cleared.

Guest Folio Updates

Edit Stay

Flash supports when a guest’s stay is extended or shortened, the Valid Until date in the Flash Admin portal updates accordingly.

Note: Parking Access is valid until midnight on the set check-out date.

Edit Room Number

If the room number is changed this is also reflected in the monthly account in the Flash Admin portal and reporting.

Remove Parking

If a guest wishes to remove parking from their reservation, simply delete the parking type ("P") from the reservation screen and select "N" for no parking.

Note: When parking access is removed, the hotel key card parking access will remain active until midnight of the current day.

Note: Any time a reservation is updated new hotel key cards are activated and previous ones are no longer active.

Passback Rules

Hotel key cards under the same reservation are allow unlimited entries; however, the number of exits must match the number of entries. This prevents visitors from using a guest’s hotel key to exit for free after pulling a transient ticket upon entry.

Free Exits

When activated, the hotel key card is set to neutral, allowing it to be used for either entry or exit. By default, hotel key cards are granted one Free Exit, meaning they can be scanned at exit once if never used for entry. If additional Free Exits are required, this limit can be adjusted by the development team.

Reporting

Guests are not charged at the kiosk for overnight parking. Parking fees are manually added to the guest folio. The Overnight Parker Summary report is recommended for viewing the parking activity of the activated hotel key cards and reconciling the folio charges.

Overnight Self Park Summary

The activated and used hotel key cards will appear on the Overnight Self Park Summary report. The Name column will list the Reservation and Room Number instead of the guest name.
