Transient Pricing Special/Event Rate Set Up

Follow the steps below to set up Special or Event rate via transient pricings for specific dates.

 

  • Log in to the ParkWhiz Seller Console

  • Identify and click the location in ParkWhiz Seller Console where you want to set up Special or Event rate via transient pricing.





  • Go to Pricings

  • Click Reservations or On Demand (this depends on the product you sell for your location)

  • Click Transient

  • Set a blackout on your location’s existing regular rates.

    • For example: If your Special or Event rate is 24hrs - $50 for July 4th, blackout all existing regular rates for the whole day on July 4th)



Create your Special or Event rate via transient pricings.

  • Under Transient, click + add new pricings


  • For example: If your Special or Event rate is 24hrs - $50 for July 4th, set up the special/event rate as follows:



Pricing Name

Any text is allowed. The most common conventions for Special or Event rate pricing name is the event name (ie. 4th of July Rate)
Valid Times

This is the time parameters or validity of the rate.
Quantity

Maximum number of spaces that can be concurrently booked at during the Special or Event rate via transient pricing.

This is for Reservations only.


Pricing

  • Hours — The maximum number of hours that customers can park for the rate they booked.

  • — This is the ParkWhiz Seller Console price for the number of parking hours booked


Blackouts

Set a blackout to ensure that your Special/Event rate via transient pricing is only available on specific dates

Blackout 1: From the date/time you created the Special/Event pricing up to the start of the special/event rate.
Blackout 2: From the end date/time of the special/event rate until a very long period of time.





Other Settings: 



Customer must arrive after

  • Requires that the arrival time be on or after the time entered.


Customer must arrive by

  • Requires that the arrival time be on or before the time entered.


Customer must depart after

  • Requires that the departure time be on or after the time entered.


Customer must depart before

  • Requires that the departure time be on or before the time entered.


Minimum parking hours

  • Value must be equal or less than parking duration.

  • Only whole numbers accepted





Maximum parking hours

  • Value must be equal or more than parking duration.

  • Only whole numbers accepted







  • Amenities

    • Manually set according to known properties of the facility.

    • “Accepts Smartphone Mobile Parking Passes” is identified as a critical setting because this affects availability on ParkWhiz apps

  • Under Sales Options, enable your preferred settings:

  • Click ✔Save Changes

  • Once Special/Event transient pricings is added, it will reflect on your location’s Transient Pricings list.
