Reason Codes is a validation feature that categorizes and addresses why the validation is being applied to the FlashPARCS or valet Transient ticket. When validating a ticket through the Validation portal the user is required to select a Reason explaining why the ticket was validated.
Only Administrator accounts can access the Reason Codes tab in the Admin Portal.
Reason Codes Set up
Administrators must go to the Reason Codes tab for the location to create a Reason Code for use in the validation portal.
To create a new Reason Code click on the Add New button.
Select the “Validation” Reason Code Type. When adding a new Reason Code, a numeric code value is required to identify the reason code from others and provide it with a unique ID, also needed is a description of the code depending on the reason code type.
The "Require Note" flag is unnecessary since the notes field has been removed.
Apply Reason Codes
Once Reason Codes have been created, all validators under the location will have access to
all created Validation Reason Codes.
1. Log into the validation portal with a validator account.
2. Enter the ticket number to be validated.
3. Select the Validation price from the available options in the dropdown.
4. Select Reason Code for the validation, these validation codes must be configured in the Admin portal before being available in the validation portal.
5. Click the Validate Ticket button. A confirmation will pop up and after selecting Ok a validation notification will appear, confirming that the ticket has been validated.
6. After validation, the ticket will show the validation price when being pulled in the Flash Valet app.
Reporting
eValidation Detail by Date Dept and Validator (xls):This report shows reason codes used for validations in the Validations Portal, including the validation type performed, duration, and date in which it was applied.
Only the XLS version of this report will show the reason code details.
Contact Center Detail: Shows reason codes for calls made through the Customer Service Portal in the Notes section.
