VISION FVR MARK4 INSTALLATION
Equipment Key
A. Wrench | C. Ring Bracket (x2) | E. Temporary plastic packaging bracket | G. 4 bolts and 2 Allen keys / 4 wall mount screws and anchors |
B. Assembly Aid | D. Pole Mount | F. FVR-Mark4 Unit | H. Weatherproof grommet I. Camera base mount |
Step 1: Initial Mount Instructions
1. Install the weatherproof grommet on the network cable at the install point, do not tighten.
2. On the junction box,
- If cover bolts are present, loosen the top-most cover bolt until it sticks out. Remove other cover bolts and set them aside
- If cover bolts are not present, insert and partially thread a bolt from bag into the topmost cover hole.
3. Thread main unit (F) cables through the base (I) and mate by threading 2 full turns of the base, leaving it attached but loose for adjustability.
4. Remove and discard the temporary plastic packaging bracket (E).
Step 2: Hang Vision Unit
Wall Mount
- Hang the main unit and base assembly from the top cover screw of the junction box using the largest mounting hole.
Step 3: Connect Network Cable and fasten Vision Unit
- Mate the network cable to the Vision unit and seal the weatherproof grommet.
- Stuff all wires into the junction box (or behind the bracket for the pole mount).
- Remove the assembly aid (ceiling mount only).
- Insert and tighten any additional bolts to secure the base.
Step 4: Aim Unit
1. Lightly pull the camera away from the base and aim it towards the activation loop of the lane. 2. Adjust using the three main variables:
3. Hand-tighten the large hex bolt at the base of the FVR-Mark4 Unit until snug. The unit may still move but should not move easily under its own weight. 4. Final tightening will be done during the commissioning stage by tightening the large hex bolt using the provided wrench AND set screw at the ball base with provided Allen key. |
Mount Variations
Be sure to follow these instructions for ceiling mounts to ensure the safe handling of the Vision unit. ( These instructions replace Step 2 in the guide).
Ceiling Mount
- Thread the loop end of the overhead assembly aid (B) through a smaller mounting hole of the camera base mount, then loop the clip end through the loop.
- Use the assembly aid to hold the unit, not the wires. Hang the main unit from the ceiling mount and mate the network and VISION unit cables.
Pole Mount
Proceed with “Step 4 - Connect Network Cable and fasten Vision unit”. |
