Vision Portal: Platelist Functionality

VISION PORTAL PLATELISTS

The Vision portal can be accessed by navigating to https://vision.flashos.com/. This portal serves as the central hub for managing and reviewing LPR events, encounter details, and system reports.

The Vision plate list management feature helps ensure that the system can automate vehicle access based on predefined lists of license plates. An uploaded plate list ensures that these plates are recognized and granted access to the parking facility. Currently, the Vision portal offers whitelist and hotlist options, registered license plates cannot be denied access under the current setup.

Contact Flash Support at support@flashparking.com to set up a plate list. Once created the platelist is viewable in the Vision portal.

Plate list Setup Options

Each plate list in the Vision portal requires a Match Tolerance setting, which determines how many characters can differ between the scanned license plate and the registered plate while still allowing access. This flexibility helps improve recognition accuracy, especially in cases of minor discrepancies.

Example of N1 Tolerance:

If the registered plate is "FF900L" and the LPR system reads it as "FF9001" (one character off), but the vehicle's make and color also match the plate list data, the gate will still vend and allow access.

Match Tolerance Levels:

  • N-0: Exact match required
  • N-1: Off by 1 character
  • N-2: Off by 2 characters
  • N-3: Off by 3 characters

By adjusting the match tolerance, you can fine-tune the balance between recognition accuracy and user convenience.

The following information can be entered when setting up the plate list details. Only the License plate is required but more information helps identify the correct vehicle.

Plate list Info requirements

  • License Plate (required)
  • State
  • Make
  • Color

View Plate List Events

Plate List is a data option under the Recent Encounters. The events list can be filtered by Platelist to view if any of the registered plates have been captured.
