FLEX OPERATING MODE MANAGEMENT

Flex Mode provides the flexibility to select the parking facility’s Operating Mode, determining the level of access control needed—whether the gates are up or down. Managed through the Parkonect Admin portal, either a Default mode is set or the Operating Mode calendar is used to schedule one-time or recurring mode changes.

The Garage Operating Mode Calendar is used to schedule and visualize automatic switches for Operating Modes.

The calendar tool is located in the Parkonect Admin portal under the Location main menu > Garage Settings > Garage Operating Mode Calendar on the left menu.

Available Operating Modes

Full Control

  • Both Gates Down
  • Express Pay or Kiosk Pay
  • Every Dollar Captured

Hybrid

  • One Gate “Up” - Hybrid operation
  • Express Pay or Kiosk Pay
  • Faster Ingress or Egress
  • Every Dollar Captured

Free Flow
  • Both Gates “Up”
  • Express Pay only
  • Fast In and Out
  • Not all Dollars Captured, Some to Compliance

By default gate "up" means the gate will auto vend when the loop is triggered.

Operating Mode Compatibility

When switching between different operating modes, it’s crucial to identify and address any potential compatibility issues. Certain features or settings may not function as intended if the modes are not fully compatible, so reviewing system requirements and configurations beforehand ensures a smooth transition without disruptions.
