This feature provides a customer-centric approach for transient drivers. When a customer scans their ticket at a POF machine or makes a digital payment, they can exit anytime within the current rate band's duration.
For instance, if a parking rate offers 2 hours for $5, and a customer scans their ticket after parking for just 1 hour, they have an hour to exit the garage without incurring extra charges. This ensures customers fully benefit from the paid rate band.
However, if the time remaining within the current rate band is less than the standard POF grace period, the system applies the standard POF grace period instead, guaranteeing a minimum grace period for all customers.
Note: Contact support@parkonect.com to have this feature implemented at your parking facility.

How it Works
Parkonect POF
When drivers pay their ticket at a POF the screen shows until what time they are allowed to exit the parking facility. Whether it being the end of the rate band or the preconfigured grace period, the drivers get this message as soon as they pay for parking.
