Parkonect: Reservation Engine Configuration

RESERVATION ENGINE CONFIGURATION

Parkonect will be configuring your Reservation Engine. In order to accomplish this quickly and accurately we need your team to provide us with the following information as soon as possible.


Below is the information we need to properly configure your reservation engine:


  • Sent from email – this is the email address people see when they get their receipt… i.e. parking@xyz.com – it does not have to be a real email address – it’s what show’s up in the inbox.


  • Questions/help email – this is the real email where they ask questions.


  • Driving Directions – this is for the receipt –  if there are multiple directions starting points, please provide in separate paragraphs.


  • Parking location description – describe the location please…. This is more marketing than anything else.


Example: “The Charles Square Garage is a state-of-the-art parking facility located beneath the renowned Charles Hotel in the heart of Harvard Square. Parking in Cambridge, Massachusetts has never been easier or more convenient. Our Harvard Square parking garage is clean, well-lit and staffed 24/7/365.”


  • Parking Instructions – this is important… what is the person supposed to do to use the pass. Draft this clearly!


Example: “Upon arrival, scan your barcode permit on the red light scanner at the entry lanes and you will be let in. Even if the sign says the garage is full, we have saved a space for you! When ready to exit, scan your barcode permit on the red light scanner in the exit lanes and you will be let out. Early entry fees/Overstay will apply.”


  • Amenities – if you have them, provide them


  • Terms of use – what are your terms…


Example:  “This pre-purchased credential is good for the dates and times as listed above. Any overstay related to parking is subject to additional fees. This parking pass is not transferable to another time or location as rates are negotiated per location. Unauthorized duplication may result in non-admittance to the facility. Cancellations must be received 24 hours before the "start time". To cancel, email your cancellation request along with your receipt to [questions email address].
