HOW TO GENERATE & PRINT YOUR OWN VALIDATIONS

Your Parkonect system can create four types of validations. From the Validations menu located in the Modules field, you may see a list of all validations created for your garage and whether they are active or inactive. You can create four types of validations:

  • Percent Off (note: for 100% off use 1 and for all lesser percentages use a decimal point, i.e. .75 for 75% off)
  • Dollars Off
  • Time Off (in minutes)
  • Unique Rate Sheet

At times you may want to create your own validations for a variety of reasons. Our software allows you to do this quickly. In order to create and generate these printable validations please do the following.

1. Once logged into the admin, go to the VALIDATIONS module and then click on ADD VALIDATION.

2. Add your own prefix to the validation, in this instance I called it VGENERATOR (note that each prefix must start with V.) Add in a descriptor for the validation, in this instance, I added Print My Own Validations. Check the "Random Generator" radio button and make sure the checkbox next to Active is checked. In this instance, I wanted to make parking free for 24 hours so I put in 1440 minutes and added my start date. Then click on "Save Validation".

3. At this point you can click the GENERATE VALIDATIONS button.

4. Now you'll put specific info: Print name will be the name printed on the validation, in the following instance I used Wendy's. Input the quantity needed, in this instance we're printing 20. Select start and end date. Now click the GENERATE button.

5. Once you click the button you'll be returned to the Validations home screen. Click select for the validation wanted.

6. At the bottom of the page you'll see the generated validations. Click into the WORD link.

7.  Click on the Print to Avery button to download the data to be opened in Microsoft Word.

8. Open the downloaded form in Microsoft Word. You can print the QR codes onto sticker paper or standard printer paper (or screenshot /picture on your cell ). You will then attach to back of dispensed ticket /distribute as needed (if printed, otherwise the parker would just scan the QR code via their cell). Note that parkers will still need to get a ticket from the ticket dispenser in order for the validation to work.
