Ballparc How to Receive a Violation Payment

Modified on Thu, 12 Oct, 2023 at 4:35 AM

Payments for violations can be made by the customer in the Payment Portal, or you can receive it in office and apply it yourself. This guide will assist you when the payment has been received in-house and you are ready to apply it to a violation.

1. Click the chevron icon in the top left corner of your screen to display the main menu.

2. Hover over the Enforcement icon and select the Violations option from the orange menu.

3. On the right side of the screen you will see several icons which allow you to apply different actions to the violation. Select the yellow icon to process a credit card payment. This should be used when the customer is in office with their credit card present. Please note that any service fees charged in your payment portal will still be applied.

  • The Action Code and Offense Code will be populated based on the violation information. You will need to enter the Card Number, Expiration Date, Security Code, and Billing ZIP.

4. Click the orange icon on the right-hand side of the screen if you would like to enter a manual payment. This can be used for cash or check payments or to record a credit card that was processed through an on-site terminal or other methods.

  • Select an Action Code from the drop-down list.

  • You have the option to enter a Less/Discount amount, which will reduce the violation amount by the value entered into this field. For example, if the current violation is $55.00 and you want to reduce it to $25.00, enter $30.00 into the Less/Discount field for the total to calculate correctly.

  • Choose your Payment Type on the right side of this popup. The options are: Check, Cash, or Credit Card. Also enter any identifying details about the payment, such as Check Number.

All set!

Once you have entered all details, select the green add icon to apply the payment to the violation.
