iOS PARCS MANAGEMENT OPTIONS

The Flash Valet iOS App enables you to remotely manage your PARCS facility. This article provides an overview of the app sections and controls related to facility management.



Issued Tab

The Issued Tab will list all currently issued tickets for the parking facility. The on-screen elements below appear on the Issued tab.

Refresh


Resets the connection so you can see the latest active tickets.

Sort By


Sorts all active, issued tickets by any of the details below:

  • Issued date/time
  • Ticket number
  • Customer name

Filter


Filters issued tickets by ticket type. Ticket type options are enabled based on location-specific configurations.

Camera Scanner


Opens your device’s camera to scan transient tickets and take any of the actions below:

  • Edit ticket
  • Process payment
  • Soft close ticket

Globe


This icon flashes green intermittently to indicate that the device has an active internet connection. If the icon flashes red, the device is not connected and you need to troubleshoot your internet connection.

Search Bar



Allows you to search for a specific ticket (entry records). If the search bar isn’t visible, tap and drag downwards from the center of the screen until the search bar appears. To hide the search bar, tap cancel to the right of the search bar.

Edit


The Edit button allows you to edit a specific ticket. Monthly and transient tickets have different edit options. 


Transient tickets

  • Edit ticket: Edit ticket price and/or add notes)
  • Process Payment: Collect cash, or credit card if the location is equipped with approved credit card readers.
  • Soft close: Removes the ticket from the Issued tab and reduces the current occupancy count. 

Monthly Tickets

  • Edit Ticket: Add notes.
  • Soft Close: Removes the ticket from the Issued tab and reduces the current occupancy count. 

*Softclosed tickets do reinstate when scanned at exit.

Ticket Count


Shows the current number of active tickets. All entry records are considered tickets.




Flash PARCS Tab

The on-screen elements below appear on the Flash PARCS tab. If your location also has Flash Valet operations, this tab is in a different location. To access the Flash PARCS tab, tap Control (gear icon), then choose Flash PARCS.


Flash PARCS Status

Allows you to set the facility to the states below.

  • Open: Allows all parkers.


  • Full: Allows monthly and overnight parkers, and eParking vouchers only. When set to this state the kiosk displays a message that indicates the facility is currently full.


  • ClosedAllows monthly and overnight parkers, and eParking vouchers only. When set to this state the kiosk displays a message that indicates the facility is currently closed, monthly parkers only.


  • Closed to all: No monthly or transient parkers are permitted to enter.


Kiosk Health

Shows in-lane equipment health. Each column corresponds to the in-lane equipment below.

  • H: Heartbeat (active internet connection)
  • L: Loop
  • G: Gate
  • C: Credit card reader
  • S: Scanner
  • N: NFC RFID prox reader
  • R: RFID/AVI prox reader


Each of the columns above will be marked with one of the colors below. You should be most concerned that H is green and nothing is red.

  • Green: Active in the last 5 minutes.
  • Yellow: Active in the last 10 minutes.
  • Black with green border: Inactive for 10 minutes or longer.
  • Black with grey border: Not used in this location.
  • Red: Failed.



Ticket Counts and Capacity 

Shows the ticket count per location, and logical zone, if configured. The columns display the information below. See the Occupancy Management guide for more details. 

  • T: Transient (Currently Issued)
  • M: Monthly (Currently Issued)
  • +: Adjustment (Softclosed tickets)
  • A: Available (Capacity - Occupancy Count)
  • %: Percent capacity used


Revenue Reporting

Shows the current revenue collected for the day by location, broken down by unpaid, paid, and total revenue.


Price Selection

Allows you to seamlessly update your selected price for the location or logical zone. Use the guidelines below.

  • If you have logical zones, select the logical zone before you update the price selection.
  • The price with the greyed-out Select box is the current price.
  • To change the price, tap the green Select on the corresponding price, then confirm your selection.





Pre Pay Price Selection

Allows you to seamlessly update to a pre-pay price to enable PrePay Mode for the Location or Logical Zone. Use the guidelines below.

  1. If you have logical zones, select the logical zone before you update the price selection.
  2. The price with the greyed-out Select box is the current price.
  3. To change the price, tap Select on the corresponding price, then confirm your selection.
  4. To disable the pre-pay price, tap Select next to Disable Prepay. The system will automatically switch back to the previously selected Standard rate. 


Kiosks

Allows you to quickly reload the Flash PARCS app running on a specific lane. If the Reload button is pressed on All Kiosk, then the Flash PARCS app for all the kiosks at that garage or location will reload.

  • This is used to manually have the Flash PARCS app to restart and look for kiosk settings from the cloud. 
  • The Flash PARCS app will not reload if loop activity is detected. The app will only restart if there are no vehicles detected in the lane. 



You should only press Reload when instructed by Support. 






Vend/Open Gates

Allows you to remotely control the gates. The two controls below are available.

Vend: Opens the gate for one parker to enter or

exit. After they pass through the safety loop the

gate arm closes.


Open Gate: Keeps the gate open until you close it. If the toggle is switched on, it will turn red to indicate that the gate is held open. Tap the toggle to close or open the gate


The Vend and Open Gate functions require you to enter a note for vend exception reporting.
