The Inside Valet module is designed for locations equipped with both Flash PARCS and Flash Valet products. It is tailored specifically for valet operations located within PARCS‑controlled facilities.
- A PARCS ticket must be issued first before it can be converted into a Valet ticket.
- Transient and Monthly PARCS tickets can be converted to Valet Transient or Valet Monthly tickets.
- Overnight ticket conversion is not supported.
When a PARCS ticket is converted to a Valet ticket, it takes on all default functions of a Valet ticket, including:
- Assigned Valet pricing
- Vehicle requests via SMS or Pay‑On‑Foot (POF)
- Mobile payment options
- Retrieval quotes
- Runner assignment
Requirements
- PARCS and Flash Valet implemented
- Valet Kiosk Configured with Inside Valet
- Dev Request to enable Ticket Conversion
Transient Process
Arrival
1. Visitor enters as a PARCS transient and proceeds to the valet arrival point.
2. Valet uses the camera scanner to scan the PARCS ticket, and selects “Convert to Valet” from the menu prompt.
3. The Issue Ticket screen opens. The valet:
- Taps the camera icon to scan the valet ticket.
- Inputs vehicle and visitor details.
4. The valet selects Done to issue the ticket. (The original PARCS ticket can now be discarded.)
Departure
- Customer requests their vehicle:
- Walk‑up: The attendant scans the valet ticket to process payment.
- Remote Request: The customer sends an SMS to request their vehicle or scans their ticket at a Pay‑On‑Foot station to pay.
2. The ticket moves to the Active tab in app (the option to close the ticket will not be available in the Flash Valet app).
3. Customer payment options:
- POF Station
- Mobile payment (if utilizing USAePay merchant services only)
- Payment processed by valet with an onsite credit card reader.
- Scan the valet ticket at Exit kiosk for payment.
4. When the Customer scans the valet ticket on the exit kiosk, the ticket will automatically complete. (If the ticket is not paid, the kiosk will prompt for payment.)
SMS Process
Arrival
- As in transient flow, the parker pulls a ticket and hands it to the Valet, effectively converting it to a valet ticket.
- Valet selects “Done” to issue the ticket.
Departure
- Parker sends an SMS to the garage’s dedicated number, which is available at the stand or any other key point in the facility, with their ticket number. This will prompt a notification to the valet.
- When the valet accepts the notification to lookup for the vehicle, the customer will be sent an SMS reply with a payment link, if they want to pay online with their credit card, or they can pay cash at the valet kiosk. After making their payment, the valet can issue a receipt, which will be sent as an SMS.
- Valet also has the option to contact the customer with an automated call if car pickup has not been completed after several minutes.
Monthly Process
Arrival
The arrival process varies depending on the type of credential used by the Monthly Parker:
- A monthly parker enters using their Monthly Account access credential and proceeds to the valet arrival point.
- The valet attendant uses the Flash Valet search function on the Issued screen to locate the monthly entry ticket and taps Edit.
- Alternatively, the valet can scan a Monthly Parker’s credential (key tag, window decal, or customer card).
- From the pop‑up menu, the valet selects Convert to Valet and then taps Done.
- The valet proceeds to park the vehicle, scans the key tag again, and checks in the keys.
Departure
Customer requests their vehicle:
- Walk‑up:
The valet uses the Flash Valet search function on the Issued screen to locate the monthly ticket and taps Pull.
Alternatively, they can scan a Monthly Parker’s credential (key tag, window decal, or customer card) and select Pull Car. - Remote request:
The customer sends an SMS to request their vehicle, or scans their customer card at a Pay‑On‑Foot station.
3. Ticket moves to the Active tab.
4. The customer uses their monthly credential at the exit kiosk, and the ticket will automatically complete.
