Ballparc: How to Add a New Location for Event

ADD A NEW LOCATION FOR EVENTS


OVERVIEW 

This guide will assist you in setting up a new location within the Management Portal. Note that only admins and managers have this ability.


1. Go to the Locations page.


2. Click the green add icon in the bottom left corner of the screen.


3. Complete the form with the location's information, all fields are required.

  • Capacity will determine how many parking spots are available in this lot and allow Event to keep up with a remaining count when tickets are sold.


  • The Police Non-Emergency Number is the number that will be called if an attendant uses the Call for Assistance function in the app. This should be set to the non-emergency police number for your city or an alternate security number if you prefer.


  • The Event Manager will determine who is contacted if the Contact Manager function is used within the Event application.


  • Select the Merchant Account that should be tied to this location so that transactions can be processed to the appropriate account.


  • The Minimum, Maximum and Default Rate will determine the amounts that can be charged when No Event/Open Parking is used within the application. If you do not want to allow attendants to select different rates, set these options to the same amount.


  • The Time Zone that this lot is located in will need to be selected as well, this field will pre-populate based on the option chosen on the Settings page but can be re-selected if needed.


  • Location options will determine what options will be available when issuing tickets. Pay by Options allow you to determine if you want to turn on Pay by Plate or Pay by Space. If you do not want to use either of these functions, select Pay and Display. The Transaction Mode dropdown will allow you to determine what type of transactions you want to accept. The choices for this are Allow All Payment Types, Cash Only, Barcode Only or Hang Tag Only. Lastly, the Receipt Mode gives you the flexibility of turning off receipt printing for those times that they are not needed. The options here are Print All Receipts, Print Cash/Credit Receipts and Don't Print Receipts.


  • The Reservation Provider will determine which type of prepaid parking integration can be used when accepting barcodes as payments. If you do not use any integrations, select None here.





All set!


Once you have entered all information, click the green plus icon to save your details. The new location will now be active and can be used for planning event details.
