EVENT PREPAY AT ENTRY MODE
Event PrePay at Entry Mode allows drivers to pay a flat fee upon entry for special events, streamlining exit and reducing congestion. This feature requires a few setup steps in the Parkonect dashboard.

Activation Steps

  1. Module Activation Required
Before you begin, ensure the Event PrePay at Entry module is activated on your account. This may require assistance from your Onboarding Manager or Sales contact.
  2. Enable the Parking Cashier Feature
This setting ensures barcodes are printed on entry tickets when Event PrePay is active.
  3. Power Cycle Entry Terminals
After enabling the feature, all entry terminals must be power cycled for the changes to take effect.

Rate Sheet Setup

  1. Navigate to Garage Name > Garage Settings in the Parkonect dashboard.
  2. Create a Flat Rate Sheet for PrePay events.

PrePay at Entry only charges the first rate band listed.
For example, if your rate sheet includes:

    • 0–60 minutes = $1
    • 60 minutes–24 hours = $10
Then only $1 will be charged at entry.
To avoid confusion, we recommend using a flat 24-hour rate for events.

Scheduling PrePay at Entry

  1. Go to Garage Rate Calendar.
  2. Choose one of the following:
    • Event PrePay Mode Default: Use this for recurring weekly events.
    • Event PrePay Mode Exception: Use this for one-time events.
  3. Fill out the required highlighted fields and click Add to save.

You'll see your scheduled event name appear on the calendar view below.
