WEEKLY RATE SPECIALS

The Weekly Rate feature allows you to offer a capped rate once a parker stays for a minimum amount of time. After meeting the minimum, a Free Period can be applied to give parkers additional time without incurring extra charges. This feature is great for offering capped pricing to long-term parkers at airports or hospitals.

Weekly Rate Set Up

Enable Weekly Rates Setting

Before the Weekly Rate can be configured, the Weekly Rates setting must be enabled at the Location level from the Garage Profile tab. Contact support@flashparking.com to allow the Weekly Special functionality.

Create Weekly Rate Special

1. Select the Rates tab from the left side menu > select a current rate or create a New Rate Sheet

Note: Updating a current rate automatically creates a new rate sheet.

Add New Special

2. Check the Weekly Override setting to activate Weekly Rate fields.

Enter Weekly Rate Settings

3. Set the Minimum Stay (in Minutes) = the number of minutes a parker must stay to qualify for the Weekly Rate.

  • If a parker exits before reaching this time, standard rates apply.

  • Once they reach the minimum, the system considers them eligible for the Weekly Rate and grants the Free Period.

Example: For a 5-day minimum, set this to 7,200 minutes.

4. Set the Free Period (in Minutes) = the number of additional minutes granted at no charge after the minimum stay is met.

  • During the Free Period, no charges are added — time is paused.

  • After the Free Period ends, time starts accumulating again, and any time beyond that is charged at your normal rate (e.g., daily rate).

Example: Set this to 2,880 minutes (2 days) to give 2 free days after the 5-day minimum.

5. Enter the Special Name ie: $100/wk

6. (Optional) Set Daily Limit: The Daily Limit setting sets the maximum number of parkers allowed to receive the Weekly rate.

7. (Optional) Enter a description ie: Weekly rate $20 per day 5-7 days = $100

Let’s say you configure:

  • Daily Rate = $20

  • Minimum Stay = 5 days (7,200 minutes)
