MONTHLY POOLS IN FLASH AR

Flash AR supports monthly pools, pools can be assigned to individual parkers, or for the entire monthly account.

What are Monthly Pools?

Pools serve as a capacity management feature, limiting the number of vehicles allowed for a specific group (pool) of monthly or membership accounts at a given location or logical zone concurrently. Once the Pool capacity limit is reached, any additional parkers linked to that pool are denied entry access to the parking facility.

For instance, if Company ABC has 50 employees and each employee is linked to the same Pool, but the tenant agreement stipulates that only 40 parking spaces can be utilized simultaneously, the Pool limit is set to 40. When 40 employees have entered the facility, the 41st parker attempting to enter will be denied access.

This system considers the parking spot availability at the time of entry, without factoring in any time limits. Exiting a parked vehicle will automatically free up one space for another parker within the assigned pool entering the parking facility.

Create a Pool

The Pool with the capacity limit must first be created in the Flash Admin Portal.

Click here to read more about How to Create Monthly Pools in the Admin Portal.

1. Log in to your Flash AR portal.

2. On the top right corner, click on Manage Account.

3. Go to Settings > Listing > Edit Location

4. Go to the PARCS tab, and click on Add New Pool Name.

- Pools must be created in the Flash Admin Portal first.
- The pool name must match exactly in both Flash and Parkonect systems (e.g., “WeekDays” vs. “Weekdays” will not work).
- Apostrophes are not supported in pool names (e.g., 'Mark's Pool').

Assign a Pool to an Account

The Pool will be applied to all Parkers linked to this account.

1. Log in to your Flash AR portal.

2. On the top right corner, click on Manage Account.

3. Select Accounts from the main menu.

4. Now, Edit an existing account.

5. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the bottom of the page, click the dropdown menu, and select a Pool, and then click Update Pool Name.

If the pool name doesn't match the Admin Portal or wasn't created there first, an error message will appear.

Assign a Pool to an Individual Parker

Additionally, Pools can be assigned to individual parkers within an account:

1. Select the Parking info tab, to view all parkers linked to an account > edit Parker.

2. Select Additional Fields to expand, and choose a configured Pool from the Pool Name dropdown menu.

3. Update parker.
