Quick Reference Summary

Issue

Reasoning

Express Pay Experience

A seamless, contactless payment solution powered by the ParkWhiz platform and Parkonect. Express Pay uses license plate recognition (LPR) to automate parking transactions.

Camera fails to read a License Plate

The entry LPR system successfully matched the license plate to an active Express Pay session, but the exit LPR system failed to read or match the plate.

How to clear Orphaned Sessions via Parkonect "Logout"

When an attendant manually opens a gate to vend a driver without scanning their credential, the associated Express Pay session and Parkonect ticket remain in an "Open" status. As long as this session remains unresolved, the system will block the driver from initiating any future Express Pay sessions.

Entry Blocked / "Session Didn't Start" SMS Alerts

Resolve entry failures where drivers receive an SMS alert that their session could not start (prior open sessions or multi-vehicle conflicts).

Unenroll vehicle from Express Pay

The driver wants to unenroll their vehicle so their credit card is no longer charged automatically.

Delete vehicle from Express Pay

The driver sold, lost or no longer uses the vehicle and needs to remove it entirely from their profile.

Receipts & Transaction Verification

Drivers inquiring about expense reporting or proof of payment.

Towed Vehicle Exception & Billing Reconciliation

When a vehicle is towed, it skips the exit camera, leaving its parking session open.

Cancel Express Pay session

The driver needs to cancel their current parking session without unenrolling their vehicle from the Express Pay program.
